Time With Friends

Some of my fondest memories at Hearthstone are the weekends when we come up as a family, but I also enjoy it when my girlfriends and I go up and spend time together. It seems so difficult to find the time as everyone has family and career responsibilities, but getting these weekends with friends gives us a chance to keep our friendships strong.

We had a group that recently came up for a weekend this winter. Some enjoyed skiing, although I chose to sit out due to -10 degree temperatures. (I am a fair weather skier!) We watched movies, played games and even popped a bottle of champagne as we geared up for the hot tub under the stars. Hearthstone offers such a great environment for these weekends as it is very carefree and we can focus on fun.

Every now and then we can even talk Nicki and Verna into stopping by for a glass of wine, and more girl talk. Everyone that works at the Hearthstone always make sure that we have everything that we need, and we are looking forward to our next girls trip to McCall this summer!

Welcoming Friends to Hearthstone

It’s always fun to get away for a weekend at Hearthstone and it’s easy to have friends stay with us. We’ve become used to the way the Aspen and Birch floor plan homes are built and decorated.  But we’ve noticed that when first time visitors come up to Hearthstone with us, their jaws literally drop when they walk through the front door.

We recently had four friends, all outdoor enthusiasts and gourmet cooks, stay with us in an Aspen floor plan home. We all had a great time together. Christi gave everyone in our group a full tour, and as we watched their reactions, it reminded us of the reaction we had when Verna first showed us the Aspen floor plan home. The kitchen proved to be large enough for many near-chefs to work together preparing several great meals. With the new furnishings in the Aspen, which includes a hideaway in the den, everyone could have their own bedroom and bed.

One feature we really like about all of the homes is the wrap around couch in the main room. Our son has found it perfect for power napping. When we decided to upgrade our family room at home, we came to the logical conclusion to purchase a large couch that wraps around two walls.  It’s sort of like bringing part of what we enjoy about Hearthstone home with us.
